Material Construction

The Standard range has long been a cornerstone of the Artem range. It’s built using our signature embossed synthetic upper, giving it the distinctive sailcloth-inspired texture that has become synonymous with Artem’s aesthetic.

Beneath the surface lies a layer of leather that provides body and structure, and a natural rubber base that protects against sweat and moisture. On the Loop-less™ Standard strap, a silicone strip is also added to reinforce the adjustment holes for added strength.

The result is a refined, technical strap that feels substantial on the wrist while maintaining comfort and durability.

The HydroFlex™ range, in contrast, is our most advanced design. HydroFlex™ is a designation reserved exclusively for our finest watch straps, featuring a high-performance FKM rubber formulation.

There’s no leather, no fabric, and no synthetic upper. The intricate sailcloth pattern is moulded directly into the FKM rubber, wrapping seamlessly around the edges. The underside features a unique comfort pattern, created in collaboration with an award-winning Dutch artist.

It took months of research, development and prototyping to get the HydroFlex™ formulation just right. Initial prototypes were tough, but too stiff. So, we went back to the drawing board until the perfect blend of comfort, durability and aesthetics was achieved. We believe this is as close to a perfect FKM rubber strap as possible, and is truly our pride and joy.

Performance and Feel

Both Standard and HydroFlex™ ranges deliver Artem’s signature precision, but they behave differently on the wrist.

• Flexibility: The Standard Strap starts slightly firm and softens with wear. HydroFlex™ feels soft, pliable, and comfortable from day one.
• Water Resistance: Standard straps are water-resistant but should avoid prolonged exposure due to their leather layer. HydroFlex™ straps are completely waterproof, designed to perform in any environment.
• Durability: Both come with a two-year warranty, but HydroFlex™ leads in long-term endurance under harsh conditions.
